Bridgestone Middle East and Africa has launched the new Turanza 6α and Alenza LX200 premium tyres at a CIS regional event in Tbilisi, Georgia. The event brought together the company’s partners and customers from six CIS countries, including Tegeta Motors, MLG, Armoni and Berdimuradov. Bridgestone says the additions strengthen its premium passenger-car and SUV tyre portfolio while addressing growing demand for comfort, safety, performance and efficiency.
Powered by Bridgestone’s ENLITEN technology, the Turanza 6α was developed following consumer research that identified ride comfort, quietness and wet-weather performance as key priorities.
Compared with the Turanza T005A, Bridgestone claims the new tyre delivers an eight per cent improvement in ride comfort, an eight per cent reduction in road noise and a 14 per cent improvement in wet grip.
The company also claims a 15 per cent improvement in wear life, 15 per cent lower rolling resistance and a 14 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency. Lower rolling resistance is intended to reduce fuel consumption in conventional vehicles and help extend the driving range of EVs.
Its enhanced wear tolerance is also designed to cope with the greater weight and instant torque commonly associated with electric vehicles. A redesigned tyre profile, advanced tread pattern and Bridgestone’s Nano Pro-Tech technology are said to further improve comfort, wet-weather performance and efficiency.
The ENLITEN-equipped Alenza LX200 is aimed at modern SUVs and electric vehicles, with a focus on refinement, durability and responsive handling.
Compared with its predecessor, Bridgestone claims a 26 per cent improvement in ride comfort and an 11 per cent reduction in road noise.
Wear life is said to improve by 11 per cent, while fuel efficiency and wet-weather grip increase by five and four per cent respectively. Bridgestone says the tyre delivers reliable everyday performance while maintaining the refinement expected by premium-SUV owners.
Erdem Cetin, General Manager of Product Planning and Strategy for AME, said the Turanza 6α focuses on comfort, lower noise and wet-weather performance, while the Alenza LX200 combines premium comfort with handling and durability tailored to SUV drivers.
The Turanza 6α is available in 64 sizes for wheels ranging from 15 to 20 inches. The Alenza LX200 is offered for 17- to 22-inch wheels, covering a broad selection of premium passenger vehicles and SUVs.
Bridgestone also claims the Turanza 6α produces 16 per cent fewer CO₂ emissions during manufacturing and 13 per cent fewer emissions during use than its predecessor. Its lighter construction and reduced rolling resistance are intended to improve resource efficiency throughout its lifecycle.
Gurhan Cevikel, Head of Marketing for AME, said the two products reflect Bridgestone’s focus on innovation, premium performance and sustainable mobility.
The company says the launch supports its Sustainability Business Model and Bridgestone E8 Commitment while expanding its premium tyre offering for conventional and electric vehicles.
