Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) is set to return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed with an impressive four-car showcase, headlined by the global public dynamic debut of the first customer T.50s Niki Lauda. The track-focused T.50s, chassis number one, will make its first appearance on the famous hillclimb wearing a distinctive South African flag-inspired livery. The design pays tribute to Gordon Murray’s first Formula One victory at Kyalami in 1974, while a gloss-black number seven references the iconic Brabham BT44 driven by Carlos Reutemann. Only 25 units of the T.50s are being produced, with each car celebrating one of Murray’s first 24 Grand Prix wins, along with a special endurance racing victory.
Also appearing for the first time in Europe is the Gordon Murray S1 LM design model, which recently made headlines after selling for a record $20.63 million in Las Vegas. This marks the highest auction price ever achieved by a new car outside of charity sales.
The S1 LM pays homage to Murray’s original Le Mans-winning race car while reinforcing the brand’s philosophy of lightweight engineering, exclusivity and driver-focused performance.
Joining the T.50s on the hillclimb is the Le Mans GTR XP1 experimental prototype, previewing a limited production run of just 24 cars. Inspired by Murray’s long-tail Le Mans racers, the model combines advanced aerodynamics with a timeless design approach.
Also making its global public debut is the T.33 Spider validation prototype. Finished in a striking green shade, VP12 represents one of the final development vehicles ahead of production and is powered by GMA’s naturally aspirated 3.9-litre V12 engine.
Since unveiling the T.50 in 2020, GMA has successfully designed, developed and delivered 100 customer vehicles worldwide. Production of the limited-run T.50s Niki Lauda is currently underway, while the T.33 and T.33 Spider continue progressing towards full production.
The brand has also expanded into more specialised segments through projects such as the S1 LM and Le Mans GTR, further demonstrating its commitment to precision engineering and lightweight performance.
Former Formula One driver and GMA Brand Ambassador Dario Franchitti described Goodwood as one of the most important events in the global automotive calendar.
This year’s highlight will be the unmistakable sound of three naturally aspirated V12-powered models as they take on the iconic hillclimb. Running from GMA’s base in the Supercar Paddock, the cars are expected to deliver one of the most memorable soundtracks of the entire festival.
