George Kuruvilla serves as Senior Automotive Editor at OtoDrive, with more than 15 years of experience in automotive journalism. As a stalwart of the industry and a self-confessed maestro of wordplay, he is passionate about making the automotive world accessible to everyone, translating industry jargon into language the everyday driver can understand while helping readers find their next car.

He has previously contributed to renowned publications including Khaleej Times, the UAE's first English-language daily newspaper; Drive Arabia, one of the GCC's largest and longest-running automotive platforms; and New York-based The Drive. Over the course of his career, he has reviewed more than 700 vehicles and driven over 1,000. His work has taken him around the world, attending vehicle launches and drive events in countries including Canada, Saudi Arabia, Oman and China.

Over the years, he has interviewed some of the automotive world's most influential figures, including Stefan Sielaff, Global Head of Design at Zeekr, and has discussed the future of electric mobility over lunch with Mate Rimac, founder and CEO of the Rimac Group, whose portfolio includes Bugatti Rimac. He has covered everything from budget family cars and rugged SUVs to exotic supercars, luxury marques and emerging mobility technologies.

While his heart still beats a little faster for hot hatches and sports cars, family life has taught him to appreciate a good SUV. His favourite drives range from the legendary Porsche 911 and the iconic Lamborghini Countach to the humble Nissan Sunny, proving that a great vehicle is not measured solely by price, power or prestige, but by the experience it delivers and how well it fulfils the purpose for which it was created.
