Tesla has launched the Model Y L Premium in the UAE, introducing a new six-seat, three-row version of its best-selling electric SUV. The extended-wheelbase model is designed to deliver greater interior space, improved practicality and enhanced comfort for families, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in November 2026.
The Model Y L Premium features a longer wheelbase and increased overall length to accommodate a more spacious three-row cabin layout. Compared with the standard Model Y, the wheelbase is extended by 150 mm, while overall length grows by 179 mm.
Tesla has also revised the roof design, adding 70 mm of second-row headroom, while improving third-row usability for taller passengers. Rear shoulder room increases by 20 mm, and larger rear doors improve accessibility. Expanded rear quarter windows further enhance visibility and cabin brightness for third-row occupants.
Cargo capacity is rated at up to 2,539 litres. With all six seats in use, the rear trunk can accommodate two large suitcases and one cabin-size trolley bag, while the front trunk adds space for an additional carry-on. Folding the third row expands capacity to six large suitcases.
Inside, the Model Y L Premium adopts a six-seat configuration with second-row captain’s chairs, focusing on comfort and versatility. The cabin features premium materials, improved insulation and a quiet driving environment.
Front seats include heating, ventilation, adjustable headrests and a thigh support extender, alongside a 16-inch central touchscreen with 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 50W wireless charging pad with active cooling.
The second row offers powered captain’s chairs with heating, ventilation, armrests, one-touch folding and up to 125 degrees of recline. An 8-inch rear touchscreen enables control of climate, media and entertainment functions. The third row includes power recline, folding functionality and dedicated climate control, with charging ports available across both rear rows.
Additional features include acoustic glass, 19-inch Machina 2.0 wheels and a 19-speaker premium audio system.
Tesla has equipped the Model Y L Premium with enhanced safety systems, including side curtain airbags for the first and second rows, dedicated airbags for the third row, reinforced floor structures and a die-cast rear underbody designed to improve rigidity and crash protection.
Driver assistance features include Autosteer, Traffic-Aware Cruise Control and automatic emergency braking. The vehicle is also hardware-ready for Full Self-Driving (Supervised), where regulations permit.
The Model Y L Premium features adaptive suspension with electronic damping to balance comfort and stability. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 201 km/h.
Tesla claims a WLTP driving range of up to 681 km. Owners will also have access to Tesla’s Supercharger network, which includes more than 220 charging points across the UAE.
The Tesla Model Y L Premium is now available to order in the UAE, with prices starting from AED 224,990. Including destination and documentation fees, the starting price rises to AED 228,670.
Tesla is offering a 30-day Premium Connectivity trial, with first customer deliveries expected from November 2026.
