Al Ghurair Mobility relaunches MHERO in the UAE at Atlantis, The Palm, unveiling the new MHERO 2 alongside the 804 hp MHERO 1 and 677 hp MHERO 2

Al Ghurair Mobility has officially relaunched the Chinese premium off-road EV brand MHERO in the UAE, hosting a high-profile event at Atlantis The Palm. The relaunch introduced the new MHERO 2 alongside the flagship MHERO 1, marking the brand’s renewed push into the region’s growing electrified SUV segment. Few venues in Dubai reflect luxury and scale quite like Atlantis, The Palm, making it a fitting backdrop for the brand’s return. MHERO, which stands for High-tech, Electric, Reform and Off-road, is positioning itself as a premium alternative in the off-road EV space.

A reveal worthy of Atlantis

The evening began with a curated pre-event gathering, bringing together media, industry professionals and influencers in a controlled, high-end environment. The setup featured live performances, interactive installations and personalised experience zones, setting the tone for the brand’s relaunch.

As the main event commenced, the ballroom transformed into a staged reveal space with large-format LED displays showcasing desert-inspired visuals. The unveiling sequence combined choreography and visual storytelling, culminating in the reveal of both MHERO models.

The MHERO 1 was presented in a bold black and gold finish, while the MHERO 2 debuted in pearl white, highlighting its more refined and modern design direction.

MHERO 1: The brute

If one word defines the MHERO 1, it is presence.

A colossal off-roader with sharp creases, faceted surfaces and the stance of a military expedition vehicle, the MHERO 1 Brave measures 4,987 mm long, 2,080 mm wide and 1,935 mm tall, with a 3,005 mm wheelbase. Its bulging bonnet flows into sword-inspired headlight clusters, while functional air intakes, a metal skid plate, high ride height, flared wheel arches and massive off-road tyres make its purpose clear. At the rear, sword-inspired LED signatures and a prominent tailgate utility box give it a Hummer-like sense of size and toughness.

For the UAE, the MHERO 1 Brave uses a 1.5-litre turbo petrol range-extender paired with three electric motors, producing 804 hp and 1,050 Nm. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.0 seconds, offers a combined range of 825 km and carries an 84-litre fuel tank.

Its off-road hardware is serious, with Aeroride adaptive air suspension, crab walk mode, front, centre and rear locking differentials, intelligent wading sensing, M.A.T.S. all-terrain management, crawl mode, infrared night vision, transparent chassis view and vehicle motion control. It also gets independent double-wishbone suspension, Brembo six-piston front brake calipers, underbody protection, 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, cornering fog lamps, a dual sunroof and a power soft-close tailgate.

Inside, ruggedness meets luxury through Nappa leather, 12.3-inch driver and passenger displays, a 15.6-inch central screen, a head-up display, suede roof lining, wireless charging and a 16-speaker Dynaudio audio system. The front and rear seats are power-adjustable, ventilated and offer massage functions, while safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and a comprehensive ADAS suite.

MHERO 2: The refined rebel

The MHERO 2 takes the brand's bold off-road philosophy and makes it more liveable for urban life. It retains MHERO's giant, multi-faceted design language, but with cleaner surfaces, softer proportions and a more sophisticated presence suited to city roads, luxury hotels and business districts.

Prime models feature an urban front bumper with an illuminated grille, adaptive LED headlights, power retractable side steps, soft-close doors, a panoramic sunroof, 20-inch alloy wheels and heated power-folding mirrors with memory. The Terrain version leans further into adventure with a rugged front bumper, roof rack, 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tyres and front, centre and rear differential locks.

For the UAE, the MHERO 2 uses a 1.5-litre turbo petrol plug-in hybrid system paired with dual electric motors, producing 677 hp and 848 Nm. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, offers a 1,300 km combined range, uses all-wheel drive and rides on independent double-wishbone suspension. It measures 5,100 mm long, 1,998 mm wide and 1,899 mm tall, with a 3,005 mm wheelbase and an 84-litre fuel tank.

Its off-road technology includes adaptive air suspension with height control on Prime, crab walk mode, intelligent wading sensing, M.A.T.S. all-terrain management with Snow, Rock, Sand, Mud, Wading and Auto modes, crawl mode, low-speed off-road assist, transparent chassis view and vehicle motion control.

Inside, the MHERO 2 combines capability with luxury through Nappa leather on Prime, a 10.3-inch driver display, power-adjustable front seats with memory, lumbar support, massage and ventilation, tri-zone climate control on Prime, quad-zone voice control, a heated and refrigerated armrest box, head-up display and dual wireless charging.

Entertainment comes through a 15.6-inch audio display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and electronic noise cancellation, with an 18-speaker Dynaudio system on Prime and a 12-speaker M-Sound system on Terrain. Safety features include six airbags, 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and a comprehensive ADAS suite.

A new kind of luxury 4x4

With the relaunch of MHERO, Al Ghurair Mobility is introducing a new entrant into the UAE’s premium SUV space, combining electrified performance, distinctive design and off-road capability.

The brand is expected to compete with emerging Chinese off-roaders such as the BYD Fangchengbao Bao 8 and Jetour G700, while also positioning itself against established models like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Nissan Patrol.

As the UAE continues to embrace electrified mobility, MHERO’s combination of high-performance powertrains, advanced technology and off-road capability places it in a unique position within the evolving market landscape.
