Unveiled at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, the Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso concept showcases striking Italian design, a proposed 2.9-litre hybrid V6, Q4 all-wheel drive and innovative interior technology

IAlfa Romeo has unveiled the Cuorerosso concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, offering a glimpse into the Italian manufacturer's future design direction, performance philosophy and electrification strategy. The four-seat concept introduces a design philosophy known as Bellezza Necessaria (Necessary Beauty), focusing on functionality, advanced technology and craftsmanship while removing unnecessary design elements. The name Cuorerosso combines the Italian words cuore (heart) and rosso (red), reflecting the brand's connection to Italian design, sporting performance and its signature red colour.

Exterior Design and Dimensions

Measuring 4,700 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and 1,331 mm in height, with a 2,930 mm wheelbase, the Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso concept combines grand tourer proportions with supercar-inspired styling. Its wedge-shaped silhouette, sculpted bonnet and truncated Coda Tronca rear give the car a distinctive, performance-focused appearance.

The signature Scudetto grille incorporates illuminated triangular elements inspired by Alfa Romeo's historic cross and serpent emblems. At the front, the lighting is integrated into the traditional Trilobo design, while the rear features a Scudetto-shaped window and two circular taillights.

Other exterior details include flush glazing, concealed door handles activated through roof-mounted touch controls, rear-hinged back doors and Italian flag detailing on the mirrors. A Quadrifoglio badge and forged wheels inspired by Alfa Romeo's classic telephone-dial design reinforce the concept's sporting character.

The exclusive Liquid Ink Red exterior finish combines an aluminium base with a transparent coloured layer, allowing the bodywork to shift visually from vibrant red to almost black depending on the viewing angle.

Interior and Technology

The four-seat cabin features individual bucket-inspired seats, a minimalist dashboard influenced by the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale and an extended centre console.

The Cannocchiale Vivente instrument display physically switches between two configurations: Immersivo, featuring twin instrument pods, and Concentrato, which combines them into one. Displayed information is reduced as driving engagement increases.

The central Magma Display integrates a touchscreen, rotary controller, drive-mode selector and physical switches, with three driving modes: Cruise, Sport and Quadrifoglio.

The Con-tatto Volante steering concept incorporates haptic and acoustic feedback to enhance communication between driver and vehicle.

Materials include Poltrona Frau nubuck, regenerated leather containing 60% post-industrial waste, recycled carbon-fibre composites and lightweight monofilament fabric developed with sailing team Luna Rossa. A removable passenger-side bag is integrated into the dashboard.

Hybrid V6 Engine and Chassis

The Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso concept is envisaged with a 2.9-litre V6 full-hybrid powertrain, paired with Q4 all-wheel drive, a torque-converter automatic transmission and a carbon-fibre driveshaft.

Its proposed chassis technology includes air suspension, steer-by-wire steering and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, highlighting the brand's focus on combining performance with advanced vehicle dynamics.

The concept has a reported kerb weight of approximately 1,750 kg and a drag coefficient of 0.28, reflecting an emphasis on lightweight construction and aerodynamic efficiency.

However, Alfa Romeo has not announced official horsepower, torque, acceleration or electric driving range figures for the proposed hybrid V6 powertrain.

Alfa Romeo's future model strategy

The Cuorerosso concept reflects Alfa Romeo's broader multi-energy strategy, which includes fully electric, plug-in hybrid, mild-hybrid and full-hybrid powertrains. Future models could also feature Quadrifoglio performance variants, continuing the brand's sporting heritage.

Although the Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso is not a direct preview of a confirmed production vehicle, its exterior design, interior technology and proposed hybrid powertrain could influence the development of future Alfa Romeo models.

For now, the Cuorerosso remains a design and technology concept, with no confirmed production plans, launch date or pricing announced.
