Al Tayer Motors appointed Kia distributor in the UAE

Sales and after-sales operations

Under the agreement, Al Tayer Motors will oversee Kia sales, service, parts and after-sales operations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates, while Premier Motors will handle Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Existing warranties, service agreements and after-sales support will continue without interruption and will be fully honoured.

Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Managing Director of Al Tayer Motors, said the company intends to build on Kia’s established reputation and customer base in the UAE while maintaining strong standards of service and support.

Kia’s UAE portfolio spans passenger vehicles, SUVs, electric vehicles, commercial vehicles and pickup trucks. The brand recently introduced the PV5 and says additional model launches are planned this year.

Hoo Gon Kim, President of Kia Middle East & Africa, described the appointment as a strategic milestone for Kia in the UAE, adding that Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors’ expertise and operational capabilities would support the ownership experience and Kia’s move towards sustainable mobility.

Kia also thanked Juma Al Majid Group, its previous UAE partner, for its contribution to the brand’s success in the country, saying the foundation it established would support Kia’s next phase of growth.

Kia’s next phase in the UAE

The partnership supports Kia’s wider push towards electrification and sustainable mobility, in line with the UAE’s ambitions for innovation and sustainability.

Established in 1982, Al Tayer Motors represents Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ferrari, Maserati, Ford Trucks, Foton, VinFast and DEEPAL in the UAE. It operates sales, service and parts facilities across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, with more than 3,100 employees. In Abu Dhabi, these brands are represented through Premier Motors.

Kia, founded in 1944, operates in more than 190 markets, employs around 52,000 people, has manufacturing facilities in six countries and sells around three million vehicles annually.

For existing Kia owners, warranties, service agreements and after-sales support remain valid as operations transition to Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors.
