French automaker Renault has detailed its 2026 Paris Motor Show programme, centred on a renewed range built around full-electric and full-hybrid powertrains. The headline debut will be the Renault E-Space Concept, joined by the Renault 8 Gordini Concept and Renault 4 JP4x4 Concept. Production highlights include the updated Megane E-Tech Electric, Trafic E-Tech Electric, limited-edition Rafale hypnotic and Renault 5 Turbo 3E.
The Renault E-Space Concept reinterprets the Renault Espace, first launched in 1984, for the electric era. “E” refers to Renault’s E-Tech electrification umbrella, while “Space” reflects its focus on a spacious, high-tech and welcoming cabin as part of Renault’s futuREady strategy.
Measuring 4.70 metres long, the Renault E-Space is finished in black rubé and features wide U-shaped light strips front and rear, plus an illuminated Renault diamond appearing to float within a pixel-style treatment.
The updated Renault Megane E-Tech Electric gains revised styling and a new 67 kWh LFP battery offering up to 500 km of range. DC charging improves by 25%, allowing 15–80% in 24 minutes, while new technology includes Smart Mode, Google Gemini AI and additional OpenR Link with Google features.
Renault is also rolling out LFP batteries across its electric vehicle range to improve affordability and the price-to-range ratio. Following Twingo and Megane, Scenic and Renault 5 will receive the technology, followed by Renault 4.
Battery capacities are 27.5 kWh for Twingo, 37 kWh for Renault 5 and 67 kWh for Megane and Scenic, with Renault’s Fireman Access system retained to help emergency services rapidly flood battery cells in the event of a fire.
The Renault 5 Turbo 3E will appear as an engineering prototype closely resembling the future production model. Inspired by the Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2, it uses two rear-mounted in-wheel motors producing 555 hp and 4,800 Nm, making it, according to Renault, its most powerful street-legal model yet.
A second example in original colours will demonstrate the car’s extensive customisation potential.
The Twingo E-Tech Electric gains a 0.7 m² Twingobay panoramic glass roof that filters 99.9% of UV radiation, blocks most infrared radiation and uses a low-emissivity film to improve thermal comfort.
Renault says this eliminates the need for an interior blind, saving weight and increasing the sense of space. Orders will open within weeks, priced at €550 or €600 depending on market.
Google’s Gemini AI assistant will also debut in Renault models equipped with OpenR Link and Google built-in via an optional over-the-air update.
The limited-edition Rafale hypnotic, based on the Rafale hyper hybrid E-Tech 4x4 300 hp Atelier Alpine, adds exclusive styling and premium equipment.
The Renault 8 Gordini Concept reimagines the 1960s model as an all-electric two-seat coupé with racing-inspired proportions and rally-influenced styling.
The Renault 4 JP4x4 Concept, first previewed at the 2026 Roland-Garros French Open, takes inspiration from the 1969 Plein Air and 1981 JP4 while adding four-wheel drive.
A separate Renault Pro+ stand in Hall 6 will display Kangoo, Trafic and Master, alongside Renault UPTIMIZE services and Converted by Renault conversion solutions.
The Trafic Van E-Tech Electric, recently named International Van of the Year 2027, will also feature as Renault expands its electric commercial-vehicle range in Europe.
Renault’s main stand will cover around 2,500 m², highlighting technologies including One Pedal driving, LFP batteries and Google Gemini delivered through over-the-air updates.
The Renault press conference will take place on 12 October 2026 at 8:30 am CET, or 11:30 am UAE time, in Hall 6, where the Renault E-Space Concept will make its world premiere.
