Inspired by Spain’s El Torcal de Antequera, Bentley’s new model line will be fully revealed in London on September 23, 2026

Bentley Motors has confirmed the name of its newest model line, announcing that the Bentley Torcal will join its portfolio as the brand’s fourth core model. The Torcal will sit alongside the Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga, marking a significant expansion of Bentley’s product range and signalling the next phase of its future strategy. The all-new model line is scheduled to be unveiled in London on September 23, 2026, with further details expected ahead of its official debut

Expected to be an electric SUV

Bentley has not yet disclosed full technical specifications, including body style, powertrain or pricing. However, the Torcal is widely expected to be a luxury SUV or crossover and could become the brand’s first fully electric model.

If confirmed, this would position the Torcal as one of Bentley’s most important launches in recent years, as the company moves towards electrification and expands beyond its current three-model lineup.

Inspired by natural landscapes

The Torcal continues Bentley’s naming tradition of drawing inspiration from natural landmarks, following models such as the Bentayga, Bacalar and Batur.

The name is derived from El Torcal de Antequera in Andalusia, Spain, a landscape known for its distinctive limestone formations, stacked rock structures and rugged terrain shaped over millions of years.

Bentley also highlights a linguistic connection, noting that “Torcal” originates from the Latin word “torquere”, meaning “to twist”, which is linked to the modern term torque — a reference to the brand’s focus on effortless performance.

Craftsmanship and performance

Bentley says the Torcal will uphold the brand’s long-standing blend of luxury craftsmanship and performance.

Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and CEO of Bentley, described the company’s cars as combining strong performance, refined comfort, high-quality materials and distinctive character, adding that the Torcal is expected to set new benchmarks across multiple areas.

New direction for Bentley

While full details remain under wraps, Bentley describes the Torcal as a new concept that remains true to the brand’s core identity.

The model is expected to introduce a fresh direction within Bentley’s range while maintaining the craftsmanship, performance and luxury experience associated with the marque.

For now, the announcement of the name offers the first official insight into Bentley’s next major product, with the full reveal set to take place in London later this year.
