VinFast launches UAE’s first doorstep EV charging service

Al Tayer Motors and VinFast partner with PlusX Electric to introduce a new “At Your Door” charging solution, supporting EV convenience and the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals

Al Tayer Motors, the official VinFast distributor in the UAE, has partnered with DEWA-approved charging operator PlusX Electric to launch the country’s first doorstep EV charging service. The new “At Your Door” solution brings portable EV charging directly to homes, workplaces and fleet locations, making electric vehicle ownership more convenient and reducing range anxiety for drivers across the UAE. The initiative also supports the UAE’s broader Net Zero 2050 strategy, which aims to accelerate the transition towards cleaner and more sustainable mobility solutions.

App-based booking and mobile charging support

The service is operated through a dedicated mobile application that allows customers to book charging sessions, track service updates and manage requests in real time.

Alongside doorstep charging, the partnership also introduces portable charging units and mobile emergency charging support, designed to improve accessibility across urban users, businesses and fleet operators.

Customers will also receive two complimentary roadside assistance charging callouts in their first year, which can be scheduled directly through the PlusX Electric app.

Flexible charging and ownership solutions

To improve accessibility, the service is designed with flexible usage models for both retail and lease customers.

  • Lease customers will receive complimentary doorstep charging as part of their ownership package

  • Retail buyers can purchase customised charging credit bundles based on usage needs

Al Tayer Motors continues to provide full sales, servicing and after-sales support for VinFast customers across the UAE, building a complete EV ownership ecosystem.

Expanding VinFast’s EV presence in the UAE

The VinFast VF 8 was the brand’s first model introduced in the UAE, and the company is now expanding its regional EV lineup with models including the VF 6, VF 7 and flagship VF 9.

The VF 8 is offered in two variants:

  • Eco variant – priced from AED 115,900

  • Plus variant – priced from AED 125,900

Both variants come with an 87.7 kWh battery pack and dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.

Performance highlights include:

  • Eco: 349 hp and 500 Nm, 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds

  • Plus: 402 hp and 620 Nm, 0–100 km/h in under 5.5 seconds

The SUV measures 4,750 mm in length with a 2,950 mm wheelbase, offering strong interior space and practicality for UAE families.

Range figures stand at up to 493 km (Eco) and 476 km (Plus) under NEDC testing, while both variants support DC fast charging from 10–70% in around 31 minutes.

Strengthening EV ownership experience in the UAE

Ashok Khanna, CEO of Al Tayer Motors, said the new service enhances VinFast’s ownership experience and complements its 10-year / 200,000 km vehicle warranty along with an 8-year unlimited-kilometre battery warranty.

He added that the initiative reflects a growing focus on improving convenience and confidence among EV buyers in the UAE market.

By combining doorstep charging, mobile emergency support, flexible charging packages and extended warranty coverage, Al Tayer Motors, VinFast and PlusX Electric are aiming to simplify EV ownership across the UAE.

VinFast vehicles are available through Al Tayer Motors showrooms, its mobile app and online sales platform, expanding customer access across multiple channels.
