One-off Maserati MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 celebrates Maserati Trident 100th anniversary with bespoke Fuoriserie design inspired by Tipo 26 race car

Italian luxury carmaker Maserati has unveiled the one-off Maserati MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926, marking the Maserati Trident 100th anniversary with a bespoke creation developed through its Fuoriserie customisation programme. The model pays tribute to 25 April 1926, when Alfieri Maserati competed in the Targa Florio driving the Maserati Tipo 26, the first Maserati to carry the Trident badge. A century later, the Maserati MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 brings that heritage into a modern, high-performance supercar.

Delivered during the Mille Miglia

The Maserati MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 was unveiled and delivered at Maserati’s showroom in Modena as the Mille Miglia 2026 passed through the city, reinforcing Maserati racing heritage and its historic motorsport legacy.

The event also highlighted Maserati’s connection to the Mille Miglia, dating back to 1931 when the Tipo 26 C secured a class win, strengthening its position in Maserati racing history.

Inspired by the Tipo 26

The one-off Maserati MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 is finished in Grigio Lamiera Matte, reflecting early race car construction, and features a bespoke livery in Rosso Capannelle, Blu Infinito and Bianco Pastello.

A period-correct Tipo 26 badge appears on the bonnet, while the original Trident logo designed by Mario Maserati is displayed on the front and B-pillars. The model also includes 20-inch diamond-cut Cyclonic wheels, black brake calipers and an Exterior Carbon Package, reinforcing its Maserati Fuoriserie bespoke design identity.

The tonneau cover integrates both the modern and 1926 Trident logos, while door badges feature signatures of Alfieri Maserati and Guerino Bertocchi, linking the car to Maserati’s historic legacy.

Luxury and technology combined

Inside, the Maserati MCPURA Cielo interior blends heritage with modern luxury, featuring embroidered Trident headrests, heated seats, carbon fibre detailing and a 695-watt 12-speaker Sonus faber audio system.

The model also includes a Driver Assistance Pack and front axle lift system, combining exclusivity with usability expected from a modern Maserati supercar.

Fuoriserie craftsmanship

The Maserati Fuoriserie programme enables customers to create highly personalised vehicles through bespoke bodywork, interiors and finishes, with the MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 serving as a flagship example of this custom Maserati supercar programme.

Celebrating the Year of the Trident

The special edition forms part of Maserati’s Year of the Trident celebrations, marking 100 years since the Trident logo, inspired by Bologna’s Fountain of Neptune, was first introduced.

From its origins on race cars to modern luxury vehicles, the Trident remains central to Maserati’s identity, with the Maserati MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 standing as a symbol of the brand’s evolution and legacy in the luxury supercar segment.
