EV World and China EV100 sign strategic mobility pact

The agreement will expand Chinese participation at EV World 2026 and strengthen UAE-China collaboration across electric vehicles, batteries, charging infrastructure, smart mobility and future transport.

EV World has signed a strategic partnership with China EV100 to deepen cooperation between the UAE and China across electric mobility and the wider new-energy vehicle ecosystem. EV World 2026 will take place from November 10-12 at Dubai World Trade Centre, serving as a platform for industry dialogue, trade, investment and cross-sector collaboration.

Focus on electric and smart mobility

The agreement covers key areas including electric and new-energy vehicles, battery technology, charging infrastructure, energy storage, fleet electrification, mobility software, autonomous driving, connected transport and next-generation mobility solutions.

By increasing Chinese participation, the partnership will connect manufacturers, battery suppliers, charging providers, mobility-tech companies, startups and investors with regional distributors, infrastructure developers, fleet operators and government stakeholders across the Middle East.

China EV100 is one of China’s leading organisations supporting the development of new-energy vehicles and intelligent connected transport, and its involvement is expected to strengthen EV World’s global positioning.

Supporting investment and technology transfer

The agreement follows meetings in Dubai between a China EV100 delegation and senior UAE officials, focusing on electric mobility, trade, industrial cooperation and emerging transport technologies.

EV World said closer engagement with China’s EV ecosystem will help accelerate knowledge exchange, attract investment, support technology transfer and create new commercial opportunities across the region.

China continues to expand its global influence in EV manufacturing, batteries and intelligent mobility, while the UAE is positioning itself as a regional hub for sustainable transport, infrastructure and innovation-led growth.

Regional platform for future transport

Dawood Al Shezawi described the agreement as a key milestone in UAE–China mobility collaboration, highlighting the role of EV World in connecting innovation, investment and international partnerships.

Held in strategic partnership with Roads and Transport Authority, EV World 2026 is expected to host more than 300 companies, over 30 business partners and upwards of 10,000 industry participants.

The agreement reinforces EV World’s ambition to establish itself as a leading Middle Eastern platform for electric mobility, smart infrastructure, sustainable transport and global industry collaboration.
