DMCC will launch JLT Link, a fully electric community bus service connecting Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Uptown Dubai, on 1 August 2026. The service will replace the existing RTA bus operation without disrupting the current passenger schedule. It aims to improve access to offices, hotels, restaurants, cafés, shops and community facilities while reducing reliance on private vehicles for shorter journeys and supporting Uptown Dubai’s growth as a commercial and lifestyle hub.
JLT Link will serve 18 stops across both districts, including direct connections to DMCC Metro Station and Sobha Realty Metro Station, providing easier access to Dubai’s wider public transport network.
Two circular routes within JLT will operate every 20 minutes, while the route connecting Uptown Dubai and DMCC Metro Station will run every 30 minutes.
The fleet comprises 16-, 23- and 31-seat electric buses, all featuring low-floor access, wheelchair accessibility and space for standing passengers.
The service forms part of JLT’s wider environmental programme, which includes solar-powered infrastructure, Dubai Can drinking-water stations and community recycling facilities. DMCC says the electric fleet supports Dubai’s efforts to reduce transport-related emissions, promote clean mobility and advance its Net Zero 2050 goals.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, said the investment supports the long-term vision of JLT and Uptown Dubai as one integrated destination. He added that the electric buses, frequent services, metro links and accessible design would create a more connected, sustainable and convenient urban experience, enable seamless community travel and reinforce Dubai’s position as a competitive place to live, work and do business.
The internal JLT routes will operate from 6:30am to 9:30pm, Monday to Saturday, with final departures at 9:24pm and final arrivals at 9:37pm.
On Sundays, the internal routes will run from 9:30am to 12:30am.
The route connecting JLT and Uptown Dubai will operate from 6:55am to 8pm.
