Skoda Auto has unveiled the updated Slavia in India, giving its mid-size sedan a significant refresh with revised styling, more technology and comfort features, and a new automatic transmission. Pre-bookings are open for ₹15,000 (around AED 576 / US$157), while variant-wise prices are yet to be announced. Deliveries are expected to begin during the festive season. Since its introduction in India in 2022, the Slavia has recorded nearly 80,000 sales, according to Skoda, and the refresh is expected to help build on that momentum.
The Slavia retains its familiar sedan proportions but receives a number of visual updates. These include revised front and rear bumpers, redesigned LED headlights and daytime running lights, new LED fog lamps and updated LED taillights with sequential indicators.
New 16-inch alloy wheels are also part of the update, while the colour palette has been expanded with shades including Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige.
The Monte Carlo version continues with its sportier appearance, including dual-tone exterior finishes, black detailing and Monte Carlo badging.
Inside, the updated Slavia gets a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit and a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The infotainment system now incorporates an AI Companion powered by Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent, designed to recognise Indian English accents. It can handle functions such as music, calls and climate control, while also responding to broader information requests.
Other additions include a 360-degree Area View camera, front parking sensors with Park Pilot and a segment-first Rear Seat Massage function.
The updated equipment builds on features already offered with the Slavia, including an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, rear air-conditioning vents and wireless smartphone charging.
The biggest mechanical change comes with the 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, which produces 115 PS and 178 Nm. It is now available with a segment-first eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, replacing the previous six-speed automatic, while a six-speed manual remains available.
The more powerful 1.5-litre TSI continues to produce 150 PS and 250 Nm and remains paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic. Models equipped with the 1.5 TSI also gain rear disc brakes.
The Slavia continues to be based on the Volkswagen Group’s India-focused MQB-A0-IN platform.
Safety remains an important part of the Slavia package. The sedan carries a five-star Global NCAP rating for both adult and child occupant protection.
Skoda says the model offers more than 25 active and passive safety features as standard, including six airbags.
The newly added 360-degree camera and front parking sensors further improve visibility when manoeuvring in tight spaces.
The update forms part of a broader product offensive by Skoda in India, following the refreshed Kushaq and other new model and variant introductions planned for 2026. The refreshed Slavia will continue to compete in India’s mid-size sedan segment against the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
Skoda has opened pre-bookings for the updated Slavia in India for ₹15,000 (around AED 576 / US$157), although final variant-wise prices have not yet been announced. No announcements have yet been made regarding the updated Slavia’s availability in the Middle East or other international markets.
