Ferrari unveils one-off CZ26 based on SF90 Stradale

1,000 cv plug-in hybrid powertrain

The CZ26 retains the SF90 Stradale’s mechanical specifications, combining a 3.99-litre twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors for a combined 1,000 cv. The combustion engine produces 797 cv at 7,900 rpm and 804 Nm at 6,250 rpm, while the electric motors contribute up to 162 kW. Power is managed through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and E4WD system.

Ferrari quotes 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 6.7 seconds and a 328 km/h top speed. The 7.9 kWh battery provides up to 25 km of electric range, while braking from 100 km/h takes less than 29.5 metres.

Distinctive two-box design

Despite its SF90 underpinnings, the CZ26 has an entirely different appearance. Ferrari describes it as a contemporary interpretation of the high-performance berlinetta, with a strongly horizontal two-box silhouette built around a central capsule-like mass and muscular wheel arches.

The full-width front grille integrates ultra-slim concealed lighting, brake cooling intakes, sensors and other technical components, while the unusually vertical leading edge gives the car an assertive face.

At the rear, a truncated tail, cantilevered lights and horizontal diffuser visually widen the car. Black roof and pillar trim creates the effect of a cockpit inserted into the bodywork, while Ferrari says the overall design also takes inspiration from Italian industrial design of the 1970s.

Bespoke colours and cabin

The body is finished in exclusive Argento Veloce, a liquid-effect silver contrasted by Rosso Lampante details and pigmented carbon fibre. Bespoke wheels combine gloss-black paint with a shot-peened surface treatment, while natural-finish titanium exhaust tips complete the exterior.

Inside, Ferrari uses bespoke black technical fabric, additively manufactured seat inserts, Rosso Lampante accents and an embroidered CZ26 logo. Satin carbon fibre is combined with special gloss carbon containing metallic filaments, while body-coloured elements appear on the doors and upper dashboard.

Aerodynamics extensively redesigned

Ferrari also substantially reworked the aerodynamics. The central radiator pack was repositioned and paired with bypass ducts to improve cooling and front-axle downforce, while the underbody and vortex generators were redesigned.

Front air curtains reduce turbulence around the wheels, while a large rear spoiler and dedicated diffuser increase downforce. The engine cover also incorporates new vents for improved thermal management.

Created through Special Projects

Ferrari’s Special Projects programme creates one-off cars to individual customer requirements. Each project is developed jointly with Ferrari’s designers and typically takes around two years, with the client involved throughout the design and verification process.

The CZ26 therefore combines the SF90 Stradale’s 1,000 cv hybrid performance with bespoke styling, aerodynamics and interior detailing created for a single customer.
