2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee returns with 600 hp

600 hp without a V8

The specially developed SIXPACK engine produces 600 hp and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm), helped by larger 56 mm Garrett turbochargers and revised calibration. The turbos generate more than 30 psi of boost, with peak torque available from 3,000 to 5,900 rpm.

The larger turbos provide 7.5 per cent greater airflow than those in the SIXPACK Charger Scat Pack, while the intake, charge-air and intercooler systems have also been revised.

Power is handled by an eight-speed TorqueFlite 880RE automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. A dedicated RWD mode can send 100 per cent of available torque to the rear wheels.

Dodge claims 0–60 mph in 3.6 seconds and an 11.8-second quarter-mile, versus 4.5 seconds and 12.4 seconds respectively for the 2023 Super Bee.

Built to withstand track use

Cooling has been substantially upgraded, with high-temperature engine-coolant capacity increased by more than 50 per cent and low-temperature cooling capacity more than doubled.

A redesigned high-flow front fascia increases airflow to the main cooling stack by 30 per cent and, according to Dodge, improves downforce by more than 100 lb at 150 mph. An extended track-tuned front splitter is around one-third longer than the SIXPACK Scat Pack’s, while a dedicated rear spoiler completes the aerodynamic package.

Stopping power comes from 16-inch ventilated Brembo discs front and rear, with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. Dodge claims three times greater brake-fade resistance than any other SIXPACK Charger.

The Super Bee rides on 20 x 11-inch forged wheels with 305/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tyres.

Dual-valve adaptive dampers are joined by stiffer springs and suspension bushings, while the rear anti-roll bar is 20 per cent stiffer. The dampers can make adjustments every 10 milliseconds.

Track, Drag and RWD modes

The Super Bee introduces Track and Drag modes to the SIXPACK Charger. Track mode adjusts the suspension, steering, transmission, powertrain and stability systems, while Drag mode optimises the chassis and driveline for harder launches.

It also features Torque Reserve, Launch Control, Line Lock and Race Prep. Torque Reserve builds turbo boost before launch to reduce lag, while Race Prep can continue operating the cooling fan after the engine has been switched off.

A Cosworth Drive Experience Recorder combines a forward-facing 1080p/60fps camera with vehicle telemetry for recording and analysing track sessions.

Super Bee styling returns

The Launch Edition receives a unique front fascia and lighting treatment, larger air openings, extended splitter and Super Bee-specific graphics.

Three colours will be offered: Sucker Punch, Shady and Diamond Black, accompanied by colour-dependent ‘Stinger’ graphics and bonnet treatments. Hyper Lime Brembo calipers contrast with gloss-black wheels.

Even the Super Bee emblem has been redesigned, taking inspiration from a turbocharger spool — an appropriate symbol for the badge’s transition from HEMI V8 power to the twin-turbo SIXPACK era.

Unique interior details

Inside are the first cloth high-back performance seats offered in the current-generation Charger, featuring embroidered Super Bee logos, Citrus Peel-pattern inserts and Silver and Sour Lemon stitching.

A Super Bee-specific leather steering wheel adds enlarged paddle shifters, a Citrus Peel 12 o’clock marker and a dedicated RWD button, while unique badging and contrasting stitching appear throughout the cabin.

A very different Super Bee

The new Super Bee arrives as Dodge celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Charger. Replacing the traditional V8 formula with a turbocharged straight-six will inevitably divide enthusiasts, but Dodge has backed the change with considerably more power and an extensive package of cooling, braking, suspension and track-focused upgrades.

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition will be built at the Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada as a limited-run model. Pricing, production numbers and ordering details will be announced later in 2026, while UAE and GCC availability has yet to be confirmed.
