Chery has officially launched its first-ever pickup truck in the UAE, the HIMAVA, marking the brand’s entry into the highly competitive pickup truck segment in the region. The new Chery HIMAVA pickup truck UAE debut focuses on versatility, off-road capability and everyday usability, with both petrol and diesel engine options available. The model has been introduced through Chery UAE’s official partner, AWR Automotive, and is now available for test drives across showrooms in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
Built for UAE roads and off-road terrain
The Chery HIMAVA has been engineered specifically for UAE driving conditions, including desert dunes, mountain trails and uneven off-road environments. The pickup combines a rugged body structure with a modern design, highlighted by a bold polygonal grille and honeycomb styling elements.
Available in multiple exterior colours, the HIMAVA also features a refined interior finished in black and brown, offering a balance between durability and comfort.
Strong body with high-strength steel construction
Durability is a key focus of the new Chery pickup truck. The HIMAVA uses up to 52.2% high-strength steel in its structure, while nearly 48% of the body is made from galvanised steel to improve corrosion resistance.
This construction is designed to enhance long-term reliability, especially in harsh weather and demanding operating conditions typical across the UAE.
Petrol and diesel engines with 4WD capability
The Chery HIMAVA is offered in two variants, each targeting different customer needs:
Comfort variant: 2.4-litre petrol engine producing 158 hp, paired with a five-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive
Luxury variant: 2.3-litre turbo diesel engine delivering 160 hp, combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4WD
Both variants are equipped with an adaptive four-wheel-drive system to improve traction and stability across different terrains.
The pickup also offers a maximum towing capacity of up to three tonnes, making it suitable for both commercial use and recreational activities.

These systems are aimed at improving control and safety across both urban and off-road driving conditions.
