The UAE has announced its fuel prices for August 2026, with petrol and diesel rates rising after declining in July. The new prices will take effect from 1 August 2026, according to Khaleej Times . A Toyota RAV4 owner who spent AED 500 on Special 95 petrol in July would pay approximately AED 530 to cover the same distance in August, reflecting the fuel grade’s 6.1 per cent month-on-month increase.
Super 98: AED 3.60 per litre, up from AED 3.40
Special 95: AED 3.49 per litre, up from AED 3.29
E-Plus 91: AED 3.41 per litre, up from AED 3.21
Diesel: AED 3.80 per litre, up from AED 3.60
Each fuel grade has increased by AED 0.20 per litre compared with July.
Super 98 has risen by approximately 5.9 per cent, while Special 95 is up by around 6.1 per cent. E-Plus 91 records the largest percentage increase at approximately 6.2 per cent, while diesel has climbed by around 5.6 per cent.
The increase will add AED 10 to the cost of filling a 50-litre tank and AED 12 to a 60-litre tank, regardless of the fuel grade used.
A 50-litre fill of Super 98 will now cost AED 180, while the same quantity of Special 95 will cost AED 174.50. Filling with E-Plus 91 will cost AED 170.50, while 50 litres of diesel will cost AED 190.
The August increase reverses the reductions introduced in July, when Super 98 fell to AED 3.40, Special 95 to AED 3.29, E-Plus 91 to AED 3.21 and diesel to AED 3.60 per litre.
July’s decline followed four consecutive months of increases. Recent fuel-price volatility may be linked to geopolitical tensions and changes affecting global energy markets.
The higher August rates will be felt most by motorists covering long distances, as well as transport operators and businesses dependent on diesel-powered commercial vehicles.
