"LEXUS Flight" combines luxury cars, helicopter travel and yacht experiences in Japan from August 2026

Lexus is expanding its mobility offering beyond road vehicles with the launch of LEXUS Flight, a premium helicopter service designed to connect land, air and sea travel into one seamless luxury experience. Operated by Aero Toyota Co., Ltd., the service will begin operations on 24 August 2026 using a dedicated Lexus-branded helicopter in Japan.

A connected luxury journey

LEXUS Flight aims to transform travel into a fully integrated luxury experience rather than simply a method of transportation.

Customers will begin their journey in a chauffeur-driven Lexus vehicle, continue via helicopter between cities or resort destinations and can extend the experience further aboard the Lexus LY680 flagship yacht.

The concept reflects Lexus’s “DISCOVER—Imitate No One” brand philosophy, introduced at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, and reinforces its strategy of delivering premium mobility solutions across multiple environments.

Seven-seat Leonardo AW169 helicopter

The Lexus helicopter is based on the Leonardo AW169, a twin-engine aircraft designed for executive transport.

It accommodates up to seven passengers and measures 14.65 metres in length, 3.21 metres in width and 4.56 metres in height.

Performance figures include a maximum cruising speed of 267 km/h and a range of up to 785 km, powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210A1 turboshaft engines.

The aircraft features a distinctive Lexus-inspired exterior finished in deep red and black, with branding across the fuselage and tail.

Connected cabin experience

Inside, the helicopter offers a technology-focused cabin designed to mirror the comfort and refinement of Lexus vehicles.

Passengers benefit from onboard Wi-Fi and a tablet interface controlling climate settings, ambient lighting, a live flight map, exterior camera views and in-flight entertainment.

Lexus says the experience is intended to deliver the same level of comfort, personalisation and technology found in its road cars.

Lexus broadens its mobility ambitions

LEXUS Flight represents another step in Toyota Motor Corporation’s wider transformation from an automotive manufacturer into a mobility company.

For Lexus, the service extends luxury beyond a single vehicle. A journey could begin in a Lexus car, continue aboard the AW169 helicopter and conclude on the LY680 yacht, with each stage linked through the same brand.

Pricing, routes and detailed booking packages have not yet been announced. Enquiries will be handled by Aero Toyota through the dedicated LEXUS Flight platform.

By adding aviation to its portfolio, Lexus is positioning itself as a provider of connected luxury experiences across land, sea and air.

LEXUS Flight will initially operate in Japan from 24 August 2026. International availability, including for the UAE and wider GCC, has not been announced.
