The unlikely, yet playful, collaboration has resulted in a bespoke Aygo X Juicy Edition featuring a pink zebra-print wrap, pink leather interior and custom detailing, with the car being offered as a competition prize in the UK

Japanese automaker Toyota has partnered with Los Angeles lifestyle brand Juicy Couture to create the bespoke Toyota Aygo X Juicy Edition, combining the compact crossover with styling inspired by the Y2K and early-2000s aesthetic, giving the Aygo X compact car a bold lifestyle-focused twist. The collaboration is intended to introduce the Aygo X to a new generation of style-conscious drivers while celebrating the resurgence of noughties fashion and culture in the urban car segment.

The original Toyota Aygo arrived in the early 2000s and became a popular city car thanks to its compact dimensions, styling and agile handling. The current Aygo X carries those qualities forward while offering more space and power, along with hybrid technology and a range of spice-inspired exterior colours in the small crossover category.

Pink zebra print inside and out

The Aygo X Juicy Edition receives an all-over pink zebra-pattern wrap, extending from the bonnet to the rear of the car, making it a standout example of a Y2K-inspired car design collaboration.

It also features a sparkling diamante-style Juicy logo on the tailgate and alloy wheels finished with pink vinyl detailing.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in plush pink leather with Juicy logos embroidered in silver metallic stitching. Zebra-print detailing is also applied around areas including the air vents and gear shifter, reinforcing its fashion-led automotive concept identity.

The car is not planned as a regular production model. Instead, Toyota is giving the bespoke Aygo X Juicy Edition away to the winner of a UK competition based on Y2K culture and noughties trivia.

Toyota is also giving away limited-edition Juicy Couture x Aygo X pink fluffy mirror dice at selected Toyota shopping-centre events across the UK in the coming weeks, while stocks last.

Emma Johnson, Toyota GB Director of Brand and Customer Engagement, said the collaboration gives Toyota a way to tap into Y2K nostalgia while appealing to drivers who see their cars as an expression of personal style.

The competition is already live in the UK, with entry details and terms available through Toyota's official website.

Juicy Couture is a Los Angeles lifestyle brand known for its casual-luxury positioning, with products spanning apparel, handbags, footwear, accessories, jewellery and fragrances. Its fragrances are sold through around 25,000 points of sale.
