In an effort to preserve Dubai’s urban appearance and enhance traffic safety, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that it recorded 9,753 cases of random parking within urban areas and Road Right-of-Way zones during 2025. Vehicles found in violation were towed and impounded at Lehbab Yard, in accordance with applicable legislation. These efforts are part of the RTA’s ongoing work to maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing city, while also addressing random parking in Dubai and improving traffic flow and road safety across key areas.
RTA said these inspection campaigns are supported by awareness efforts across social media platforms, aimed at educating the public about parking rules in Dubai and the provisions of Executive Council Resolution No. (54) of 2021 regulating work within the Road Right-of-Way.
The authority added that these initiatives help improve driver behaviour, reduce violations, and support wider goals linked to road safety and urban mobility in Dubai.
RTA oversees towing operations in partnership with Emirates Parkings, which is responsible for removing and impounding vehicles and movable assets found in violation of regulations.
The company follows defined procedures, including responding within 60 minutes and completing the impound process within 24 hours.
Vehicles are transferred to Lehbab Yard in Dubai, where they are securely stored. The facility provides insurance coverage against fire and theft, ensuring protection of vehicles belonging to individuals and organisations in line with safety standards.
