The vehicle was introduced in collaboration with Performance Plus Motors, marking the first time Dubai Police has brought a range-extender electric vehicle (EREV) into active use. Two units of the Voyah Free were officially unveiled by Major General Rashid Khalifa Al Falasi at the General Department of Transport and Rescue headquarters, in the presence of senior officials and representatives from the company.
Voyah Free EREV Specifications
At its core, the Voyah Free EREV is an electric SUV powered by dual motors. What makes it different is the petrol engine that works as a generator when needed, extending the driving range when charging isn’t available. In total, it can cover up to around 1,357 km under CLTC conditions, which makes it practical for long patrol operations.
The setup delivers 360 kW (483 hp) and 720 Nm of torque through an all-wheel-drive system. Performance is strong for an SUV of this size, with a claimed 0–100 km/h time of roughly 4.8 seconds. It also includes adjustable air suspension with 100 km of lift range, a triple-screen cabin layout, and a boot space of 560 litres, expandable up to 1,320 litres depending on configuration.
Major General Al Falasi praised the collaboration with Performance Plus Motors, noting that Dubai Police continues to adopt environmentally friendly transport solutions while enhancing its operational presence across the city.
Mohamed Elzawawy, General Manager of Performance Plus Motors, said:
“This partnership goes beyond vehicle delivery. It is about building long-term collaboration around smart and sustainable mobility. Voyah’s EREV technology offers a strong balance between electric efficiency and extended driving range, making it ideal for fleet operations in the UAE and supporting the transition towards cleaner transportation.”
The famed police force is already known worldwide for its unusual and high-performance fleet, which includes vehicles like the Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari FF, Aston Martin One-77, and BMW i8.
More recently, the fleet has started to include electric models, such as the Tesla Cybertruck. The addition of the Voyah Free EREV patrol vehicle continues this evolution, blending performance cars, electric SUVs, and future-ready police vehicles in a way that reflects Dubai’s broader transport vision.
