PUMA and Scuderia Ferrari HP have unveiled the PUMA for Scuderia Ferrari HP Monza Limited Edition, a new collection inspired by Michael Schumacher’s first season with Ferrari in 1996. Launched around Ferrari’s iconic home race at Monza, the collection arrives 30 years after Schumacher joined the Scuderia and draws its design inspiration directly from his first year racing for the Italian team. PUMA says the collection is intended not only as a retrospective tribute, but as recognition of the beginning of an era that would go on to define Ferrari for a generation.
Schumacher joined Ferrari in 1996 and began a partnership that ultimately delivered five consecutive Formula 1 Drivers' World Championships from 2000 to 2004.
PUMA’s announcement highlights the working culture associated with Schumacher’s Ferrari years, including discipline, repetition, precision and commitment. According to the company, the collection is designed to reference the origins of that approach as much as the championships that followed.
The Monza Limited Edition includes a Replica T-shirt, Replica shirt, racing jacket and cap, with each piece incorporating visual references to Schumacher’s 1996 Ferrari season.
The racing jacket has the closest connection to his original racing equipment. PUMA says its stitching and panel construction are inspired directly by Schumacher’s race suit, adapting details originally designed for use in the cockpit into a modern jacket.
The Replica T-shirt and shirt feature seven stars, representing each of Schumacher’s seven Formula 1 World Championships.
The cap, meanwhile, carries Schumacher’s signature laurel-wreath motif, another visual element linked to the seven-time world champion.
PUMA describes the overall treatment as having a vintage aesthetic inspired by Schumacher’s era while being presented through Ferrari’s current Formula 1 drivers.
Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are shown wearing the collection both on the grid and on the streets of Monza, connecting the visual identity of Schumacher’s first Ferrari season with the team’s current driver line-up.
The collaboration therefore links two generations of Ferrari Formula 1 drivers: Schumacher, whose arrival in 1996 preceded the team’s highly successful championship era, and Hamilton and Leclerc, who represent Scuderia Ferrari today.
The PUMA for Scuderia Ferrari HP Monza Limited Edition Collection is available through selected PUMA and Ferrari stores as well as through both companies’ online stores.
PUMA’s original announcement does not specify pricing, but Ferrari’s official US store lists the Replica T-shirt at $100 (around AED 367), the Replica shirt at $130 (around AED 478) and the Replica jacket at $260 (around AED 955).
The Leclerc and Hamilton Monza replica caps are listed at $50 each (around AED 184).
Prices may vary by market.
The collection forms part of PUMA and Ferrari’s Monza race activities and uses Schumacher’s first Ferrari season as its central theme, three decades after the German driver began what would become one of Formula 1’s defining driver-team partnerships.
