Kids Go Free Friday will return to the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2026, giving families another way to experience race week at Yas Marina Circuit. The initiative will take place on Friday, December 4, during the four-day event running from December 3–6. Eligible holders of four-day Abu Dhabi Grand Prix tickets will be able to redeem up to four complimentary children’s tickets, for children aged three to 12, providing access to the F1 Fanzone and Oasis entertainment areas. The initiative forms part of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix’s wider focus on creating an all-ages race week and encouraging younger fans to experience Formula 1.

What Kids Go Free Friday includes

The complimentary children’s tickets provide access to all Oasis entertainment areas within Yas Marina Circuit, including the F1 Fanzone, on Friday.

Young fans will be able to explore circuit entertainment and race-themed interactive experiences, while the main F1 Fanzone will feature driver appearances and other activities.

Eligible ticket holders will receive an email explaining how to redeem the children’s tickets. Availability is limited, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Abu Dhabi GP returns in December

The 2026 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place from Thursday, December 3 to Sunday, December 6 at Yas Marina Circuit.

Abu Dhabi has been part of the Formula 1 calendar since its inaugural race at Yas Marina Circuit in 2009. The event is renowned for its twilight format and remains the only day-night Grand Prix on the Formula 1 calendar, according to organisers.

The 2026 event will mark the 18th edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Race week also includes the Yasalam presented by e& entertainment programme, which features live music, concerts and parties alongside the Formula 1 action.

Record attendance in 2025

Organisers say the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix attracted a record attendance of 339,000, while Ethara was recognised as F1 Promoter of the Year for staging the best overall event of the season.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket inclusions can also provide complimentary access to attractions including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, teamLab Phenomena and Qasr Al Watan.

Kids Go Free Friday will therefore return as part of the 2026 programme, with eligible four-day ticket holders able to redeem complimentary access for younger fans to the F1 Fanzone and Oasis areas on December 4.
