German luxury tuner and coachbuilder MANSORY has unveiled its first-ever Chinese project at the Beijing Auto Show 2026, presenting a heavily reworked Zeekr 9X SUV. Known for transforming high-end European cars, the brand now turns its attention to Geely’s flagship hybrid SUV, suggesting a shift in market focus.
Often referred to as the “Hangzhou Bay Cullinan”, the Zeekr 9X already has a commanding presence, but this version takes things much further. The standard bodywork has been replaced with a full carbon-fibre widebody kit, including redesigned front and rear bumpers and a much larger roof-mounted spoiler.
One of the standout additions is the inclusion of rear-hinged suicide doors, giving the SUV a more dramatic, limousine-like appeal. It also debuts MANSORY’s new “FT.19” forged wheels, sized at 24 inches, paired with performance-focused tyres designed to handle the SUV’s power output.
Inside, the focus shifts to pure luxury. The cabin features quilted white leather upholstery, contrasted by black Alcantara surfaces and gold accents, creating a bold yet premium look. There’s also a built-in refrigerator in the centre console, while details like the MANSORY sports steering wheel and illuminated branding across the cabin reinforce its bespoke character.
Underneath the extensive visual upgrades, the Zeekr 9X plug-in hybrid SUV retains its advanced 900V SEA-S platform. Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with a tri-motor setup, producing an impressive 1,381 horsepower and 1,410 Nm of torque.
That’s enough to push this large luxury SUV from 0–100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 240 km/h. A custom MANSORY exhaust system adds a more aggressive sound profile to match the performance.
Beyond outright speed, the hybrid system is equally noteworthy. With a 70 kWh battery pack, the SUV delivers up to 380 km of pure electric range (CLTC), making it usable for both daily driving and longer journeys. It also supports 6C ultra-fast charging, capable of going from 10 to 80 percent in under 11 minutes.
Supporting the performance is a closed-chamber air suspension system combined with a 48V active stabiliser, helping balance comfort with stability, something crucial for a vehicle of this size and power.
Examples like the Zeekr 9X by MANSORY suggest a definitive shift in the market, from West to East. Chinese cars were once known for more budget-friendly crossovers, but they are now serious contenders in the high-end luxury SUV segment, with tuners and modification houses following suit, potentially signalling a new era of luxury.
