Limited to 50 examples per model, the Gaurav Gupta-designed Couture Editions bring hand-finished Serpent Infinity detailing to MG’s electric MPV and roadster.

MG SELECT has launched limited Couture Editions of the M9 and Cyberster in India, created in collaboration with Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta. The MG M9 Couture Edition is priced at INR 84.94 lakh, equivalent to approximately USD 89,300 or AED 328,000. The MG Cyberster Couture Edition costs INR 87.49 lakh, or around USD 92,000 or AED 337,900. These are approximate conversions based on exchange rates available on August 5, 2026 and may fluctuate.

Fashion-inspired detailing

Both models feature Gupta’s Serpent Infinity motif, a recurring element in the designer’s work that MG says represents continuity, transformation and power.

The design has been applied to the vehicles using hand embroidery, tonal layering and hand-finished detailing. MG says the treatment was developed using techniques similar to those employed for Gupta’s couture pieces.

The collaboration began earlier in 2026 at the opening of Gupta’s menswear flagship store in New Delhi, where a specially interpreted Cyberster was displayed. The finished M9 and Cyberster Couture Editions were subsequently unveiled during Gupta’s Light Song fashion showcase in Mumbai on July 17, for which MG SELECT served as the official automotive partner.

Limited to 50 examples each

The Couture Edition treatment will be limited to 50 units for each model.

Bookings are now open through MG SELECT, with deliveries scheduled to begin on August 10, 2026. The special editions will be available through MG SELECT Experience Centres across 14 Indian cities.

MG has not detailed any powertrain or chassis changes in its Couture Edition announcement, which focuses on the models’ design, materials and exclusivity.

The M9 is MG SELECT’s seven-seat luxury electric MPV, while the Cyberster is the brand’s two-seat electric roadster. In standard Indian specification, the Cyberster produces 510 PS and 725 Nm, with MG claiming a 0-100 km/h time of 3.2 seconds.

INR 5 lakh premium over standard models

MG SELECT currently lists the standard M9 at INR 79,94,800 and the Cyberster at INR 82,49,800.

This means the Couture Edition adds INR 4,99,200 to the price of either model, equivalent to approximately USD 5,250 or AED 19,300 at current exchange rates.

The Couture Editions form part of MG SELECT’s effort to position the M9 and Cyberster as more exclusive products within India’s premium electric-vehicle market. Availability, pricing and possible introduction outside India have not been announced.
