Sunreef Yachts and BRABUS have revealed a 17-metre foil-assisted power catamaran with twin 725 hp engines, a top speed exceeding 40 knots and accommodation for up to six guests.

Sunreef Yachts and BRABUS have introduced the BRABUS ULTIMA 55, the first yacht created through their collaboration. Developed on the Sunreef ULTIMA platform, the high-performance power catamaran combines Sunreef’s multihull engineering with BRABUS design and interior detailing.

Twin engines produce 1,450 hp

The BRABUS ULTIMA 55 is powered by two 725 hp engines and can exceed 40 knots, equivalent to more than 74 km/h.

Its foil-assisted design generates lift as speed increases, reducing drag while improving stability and efficiency. Sunreef says the configuration combines the space and stability of a multihull with the agility of a monohull.

Distinctive BRABUS design

The yacht is available in Graphite Black or Phantom Grey, with exposed carbon-fibre elements, integrated LED lighting, illuminated BRABUS logos and exterior finishes influenced by high-performance cars.

Fold-down side platforms expand the aft deck into a beach-club area. Other features include convertible sunpads, an extendable carbon-fibre dining table, a wet bar, an electric barbecue and a separate bow lounge.

The equipment list also includes custom sea stairs, storage for water toys, a semi-open dining area, folding bulwark platforms and thin, flexible solar panels.

Premium cabin for up to six

Inside, the ULTIMA 55 features Moonstone leather, Alcantara, exposed carbon fibre, aluminium accents and configurable ambient lighting.

The main saloon incorporates a fully equipped galley, retractable television and Bowers & Wilkins Marine Series sound system. A panoramic BRABUS control interface manages the yacht’s onboard functions.

Two layouts are available. The first combines an owner’s suite with a VIP cabin for four guests, while the alternative provides three cabins for up to six. Both include separate crew accommodation.

Dimensions and capacities

The composite-built BRABUS ULTIMA 55 measures 17 metres long and 5.6 metres wide. It has a 1,500-litre fuel tank and a 330-litre freshwater capacity.

Its certification is listed as Category B for 12 people and Category C for 20. Sunreef Yachts is responsible for the naval architecture, while BRABUS developed the design.
