The luxury car manufacturer Bentley Motors has announced Malaysian-born, Academy Award-winning actor and producer Michelle Yeoh as its newest global brand ambassador, strengthening her long-standing association with the marque. Announced on 14 October 2026, the partnership follows the unveiling of the Bentley Torcal, an all-new model line described as the brand's first fully electric vehicle, marking a significant step in its electrification strategy. Yeoh joins Bentley's existing ambassadors Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mai Ikuzawa and Greg Williams. Williams, who also serves as Bentley's External Creative Director, photographed Yeoh's official ambassador portrait.
Michelle Yeoh's relationship with Bentley extends through her husband, Jean Todt, whose collection includes several notable models. Among them are a 1965 Bentley Continental S3, a 2019 Mulsanne and a 2025 Flying Spur Speed First Edition.
Born in Malaysia, Yeoh moved to the United Kingdom as a teenager to pursue ballet training before studying Creative Arts with Drama in Cheshire, approximately 15 miles from Bentley's headquarters in Crewe.
She began establishing her international reputation in Hong Kong cinema during the 1980s, becoming recognised for performing her own stunts and portraying strong, independent female characters.
Her acting career spans more than 50 films, including Tomorrow Never Dies, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha, Sunshine, The Lady, Crazy Rich Asians, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Wicked. She has also appeared in television productions such as Star Trek: Discovery.
In 2023, Yeoh made Academy Awards history by becoming the first Asian woman to win the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once. Her latest projects include The Surgeon, Blade Runner 2099 and The Wandering Earth III.
Yeoh said the partnership felt natural, drawing parallels between her four-decade acting career and Bentley's ability to reinvent itself while preserving its identity, craftsmanship and heritage. She described the Torcal as Bentley's next chapter and expressed her enthusiasm for helping tell its story.
Bentley Marketing Director Ben Whattam said Yeoh's career reflects the brand's high-performance spirit and dedication to craftsmanship, with the partnership highlighting the confidence, character and ambition defining its future.
Founded in 1919 and owned by the Volkswagen Group since 1998, Bentley produces the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, Flying Spur, Bentayga and Bentayga EWB. The recently unveiled Torcal marks the next stage of its transition towards electric mobility and more sustainable luxury motoring.
